      John Scott had seven children. The name of his wife is unknown:

      John Scott, Sr., might be the son of John Scott and Sarah Cross of Westmorland County, Virginia. He had a sister, Jane Scott, who married James Cunningham from Cub's Creek, Virginia. Sarah Cross's previous husband was George Cross.
